Woodmont

Woodmont is nestled between Chevy Chase and Rock Creek Park. It's a small residential community just over Key Bridge from Georgetown, with numerous subdivisions easily accessible by the Metro. Students here can walk to school or take a bus, often to Arlington Public Schools, such as Woodrow Wilson High School or Ben W. Murch Elementary.

Named for the numerous densely wooded areas that create a natural level of privacy and serenity, Woodmont features many colonials and craftsman-style homes. There are a few larger condo developments, but most homes enjoy larger lot sizes and ample space. Nature, including deer, is everywhere, and a few hiking trails exist in the park areas. This is an excellent place to live for those looking for ample convenience and lots of privacy.

Dover Crystal

Dover Crystal is located in the northernmost part of Arlington, with fewer than 150 homes in this quiet area. It's easy to see how dense the area is, but the forested areas help make it private. The home styles are varied, but many affluent developments have occurred in this area over the years, creating larger custom homes. It's easy to find both large colonials and more modern homes here. Some even have tree homes tucked into their backyards.

Dover Crystal is ideal for nature-lovers with its hilly terrain, lots of mature trees, and walkable neighborhood streets. It's a bit tucked away, which means there are no Metro lines in the area itself, but some are close. Dover Crystal offers walking trails to the Potomac River in exchange for commercial amenities, including The Potomac Heritage and Overlook trails. Residents enjoy a higher quality of life with access to Arlington Public Schools.

Riverwood

Riverwood is a community of luxury homes and high-end amenities located on the western side of the Potomac River. It's known for its strong cultural heritage, a mixture of cultures, and diversity in cuisine. The homes in Riverwood range from townhomes to single-family homes, some offering as much as 3,000 square feet of living space. Residents here have access to Arlington Public Schools and several private schools.

The heart of Riverwood is Windy Run Park. The park is ideal for those who want to step out of their home and onto a wooded trail. It's only a short walk to the Potomac River, making this a desirable place to call home. Riverwood is also home to several shops and restaurants. It's an area with some newer home developments and a wide range of older homes dating back to the mid-1900s.
