Capitol Hill is a diverse, vibrant area of Washington, D.C. and one of the most beloved areas in Washington.

Beyond the white dome that is home to the American legislature, it is a largely residential neighborhood of rowhouses, single family homes and mansions of different styles - often with whimsical decorations. Barracks Row and Pennsylvania Avenue are hotbeds of retail and restaurant activity, as is Eastern Market, the oldest functioning market in the city.
