Raquel Torres O’Brien hails from picturesque Burgos, Spain. She brings a passion for service and astute business skills to the forefront when assisting her clients in property transactions.

Raquel holds both a degree in Advertising and Public Relations (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos,Madrid) and an MBA (American University of Technology and Commerce, Virginia). She is also a Certified Sommelier with The Court of Masters Sommeliers and Level 3 on WSET wine program. The twining of all these experiences has led Raquel to hold unique perspectives linked to both Europe and The United States.

Invaluable in the real estate industry is extensive knowledge of neighborhoods. When assisting clients in finding their perfect property, Raquel imparts her institutional knowledge of the many diverse neighborhoods in which she has lived or worked. Leesburg (VA), Sterling/Reston (VA), Capitol Heights (DC), the Wharf (DC), West End (DC), Capitol Hill (DC) and Arlington (VA) are all neighborhoods that she is an expert on.

Holding a great love of wine, Raquel has been very active in several segments of the wine industry (stemming from her family’s ownership of a vineyard in the heart of the Ribera del Duero wine region). She has acted as sommelier and wine director at some of Washington, D.C.’s most prestigious restaurants such as Fabio Trabocchi, Del Mar and Enrique Limardo, Imperfecto. This experience has sharpened Raquel’s ability to impart invaluable insight and advice while listening to clients’ needs. A critical skill in real estate and something that Raquel excels at.

When not immersed in the world of real estate, Raquel can be found enjoying her time with her husband and one-year-old daughter. She also indulges in her love for travel, frequently returning to Spain to visit her family while exploring the country’s most exquisite wineries and vineyards.
