Virginia Square is known for its vibrant arts scene and home to the Arlington Arts Center. The area can also claim the mantle of Northern Virginia’s Education Center, hosting George Mason University Law School and satellite campuses of George Washington University, VA Tech and UVA.
Ballston is the DC region’s hub for innovation, research, learning, technology and science. It also has one of the nation’s highest concentrations of scientific research agencies such as DARPA and Office of Naval Research to name a few.
Niche’s 2019’s Best Places to Live in America listed Arlington’s Bluemont neighborhood at the very top of the list. Compared to the more hustle and bustle setting of Virginia Square and Ballston areas, Bluemont projects a more suburban and residential feel.

The area boasts more than 75 restaurants in a 5-block area and offers some of the best shopping (Ballston Quarter,) entertainment and parks and trails for its residents, all within reasonable walking distance.
