Sterling

Sterling sits along Route 28 and Route 7 and is densely wooded. This is a busy area of the region, with many visitors enjoying the Sugarland Run Stream Valley Park and other green spaces, such as the Sterling Park Golf Course. There's no doubt Sterling has much to offer in terms of amenities, including hotels, restaurants, and shops in the Potomac Run Plaza, but it feels like a small town in the middle of nowhere. County public schools serve Sterling, with Dominion High School, Seneca Ridge Middle School, and Meadowland Elementary School located within the area.

Most homes are larger, with over 3000 square feet of space. Some date back to the mid-1900s, a few are older than that, and others are just a few decades old. The area has a number of smaller subdivisions and neighborhoods, each with a bit of its own flare. Beautiful luxury homes with lots of land are prominent near the area's parks.

Ashburn

Those seeking a modern community will find Ashburn an excellent choice. It's home to over 43,000 people, and while it's a suburban community, it's just about 30 miles from Washington, D.C. Ashburn is noted for its numerous commercial sectors and businesses, including its various data centers, thanks to its location within the Dulles Technology Corridor. It's also home to George Washington University. For young students, the Loudon County Public Schools provides education through a number of elementary schools, including Ashburn Elementary and Belmont Station. Eagle Ridge Middle School and Briar Woods High School are also within the community.

A large area, Ashburn has many home styles to offer, including colonial, Victorian, and bungalow styles. There are also many fantastic apartments and condo communities here. Some of the more luxurious homes feature large lots with ample privacy, and many homes here are newer, having been built since the early 2000s. It's a densely populated area with a variety of neighborhoods to offer something special to almost anyone.
